24v Jump Start Services

What can you do if your truck needs a 24v Jump Start?  Read on...

According to statistics from numerous motoring organizations, flat batteries and battery faults are by far and away the most common cause of breakdowns, and goods vehicles are not immune to this trend.  Faulty alternators also feature prominently in these lists.  As a result, it is not unusual to find any kind of vehicle, old or new, parked at the side of the road as the driver struggles to start the engine or turn on the hazard warning signals.

Getting a car with a flat battery started is a relatively straightforward affair.  Simply link the battery to one on a running car with a pair of jump leads, allow a little time for the battery to recover, and the vehicle will usually be up and running again in just a few minutes.  But in the case of a HGV, things can be more complicated.  Truck engines are much larger than those in cars, and consequently so are the batteries required to start them.  Even the largest car battery would struggle to start the engine in a truck.  Additionally, most HGVs now have 24 volt starter systems, and it is inadvisable to attempt to Jump Start 24v from 12v batteries.  To Jump Start 24v Systems special batteries and larger jump leads are required.
